Wirral Pride is made possible by our incredible team of volunteers.

By giving your time, you’ll be helping to create a safe, inclusive and welcoming space for thousands of people across our community. Whether it’s your first time volunteering or you’ve supported Pride before, there’s a place for you on the team.

Volunteering with Wirral Pride is a chance to:

  • Support the LGBTQ+ community locally
  • Meet new people and be part of a friendly team
  • Gain experience in events, community work and teamwork
  • Play a vital role in delivering a large-scale public event

No matter your background or experience, your contribution makes a real difference.

We offer a range of roles on the day, including:

Event Stewards
Helping guide attendees, providing information and supporting the smooth running of the event.

Stage & Performer Support
Assisting with stage areas, helping performers and ensuring schedules run on time.

Stalls & Services Support
Assisting with supporting the stalls set-up and welfare.

Set-Up & Pack-Down Crew
Helping prepare the site before the event and pack down safely afterwards.

Accessibility Support
Supporting attendees who may need additional assistance and helping us maintain an inclusive environment.

To help us deliver a safe and successful Pride, we ask that volunteers:

  • Are friendly, respectful and inclusive at all times
  • Follow guidance from team leaders and organisers
  • Arrive on time for your assigned shift
  • Support our commitment to equality, diversity and safeguarding

You don’t need previous experience – just a positive attitude and willingness to get involved.

As a Wirral Pride volunteer, you’ll receive:

  • A volunteer briefing before the event
  • Support from our team throughout the day
  • A designated role and clear responsibilities
  • Refreshments during your shift (if applicable)
  • The opportunity to be part of an amazing community event
